Royal Jordanian Airways (RJ/RJA - Jordanian)

This highly elegant and timeless design was first introduced in 1986. The original version was recently tweaked to add the dark gray engines with a red quarter circle, and the red line on the tail have also been curved down. I'm not sure about the background of the crown. The latest airplanes seem to sport a see-through crown with no plain gray background.

Royal Jordanian is one of the early airlines to place an order for Boeing's 787-8s. Their order was split between purchases and leases. Boeing strongly recommended that engine cowlings be painted in one color to milk out the most aerodynamic benefit. That's why I left the ones in the illustration all white. Was never much of a fan for the dark gray cowlings.
